One-off events

As well as regular opportunities for volunteering, there are a range of one-off events where you can get involved. These also contribute to your hours for the Saltire Awards, but are better suited to those who struggle with the regular weekly commitment required by many voluntary organisations.

Contact Stevie Kearney, our Student Development & Volunteering Co-ordinator for more information. Come and visit us in the Union office on University Street, or you can email ext.kearney@rgu.ac.uk or call 01224 262 265

ABERDEEN FESTIVALS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Aberdeen Festivals, a collaboration of nine of the city’s top festivals, is looking for volunteers throughout the year to assist at events and festivals.

From arts and science, to dance and music, our festivals cover a broad range of interests. A wide variety of volunteering roles exist including front of house, event and artist liaison, festival administration, marketing, press, social media and event evaluation and research.

The festivals take place across the whole year from February to November, so there is plenty of time and opportunity to get some extra work experience on your CV before graduation.

To register as a volunteer at some of the city’s most high profile festivals please contact us at RGU:Union and we'll add you to the volunteer database, then the festivals team will be in touch with more information and details on upcoming events.
