Exams – Help through the Hell
10-May-2011
Late nights, excess caffeine and a lack of sleep, it’s definitely exam time again. I used to dread exams at the end of semester; only the long summer and the knowledge I would have no Uni for 4 months could ever keep me going. Long nights in the library or in my flat with more books than I ever thought I’d have to or be able to read, trying to cram as much information in my brain as possible so I could spill it out on to the page for 3 hours in the exam hall just to forget it all again the instant I walked out. It might seem like your own personal hell but there is light at the end of the tunnel! In two weeks it will all be over, and then there is the Union Graduation & Summer Ball and Graduations to look forward to, followed by a long, hot summer!
I would like to wish anyone sitting exams over the next two weeks the very best of luck, but also point out to those of you who may be finding it difficult that there is help for you. At the Union we offer independent advice and support for any struggles you may have. We can help you with extenuating circumstances forms and talk you through all the options available to you should you have any issues with your Uni work at this crucial time. If you want some support our doors are always open; please come to the Union and speak to myself or Audrey Bainbridge (Student Association Administrator and Advice) and we will be happy to help.
