SOCIETIES

For details of this year's Scarlet & Gold Awards Ball, please click here.

RGU: Union has many societies, ranging from the traditional (such as drama, LGBT, and charities) to the less traditional (such as gaming, juggling and toast) – you can check them out on the next page. They’re a great way to make new friends and develop skills – or even learn brand new ones! We’re confident that we can find something for everyone, and if there isn’t anything here already – we’ll help you to get one up and running, no matter how obscure!

Henning Stock is this year’s Societies Officer. It’s his job to help students run and organise the societies as well as helping people to set up new ones. Don’t hesitate to ask for help, if he can’t do it, he’ll be able to point you in the direction of somebody who can.

Take advantage of the Freshers Fayre each September and visit as many of the stalls as you can. This is a great
opportunity to have a chat with other students, and sign up for as many things as you can! You can always change your mind later. Don’t worry if you miss something at the Fayre because it’s never too late to join up!

If there’s something you are interested in that isn’t catered for, then it’s easy to start a new society. Get in touch, and we can guide you through the start-up process!
