CLUB FEES
Due to the club starting half way through second semester, RGU Union have allowed me to let people join without any fees! So use this great opportunity to come and play with any feeling of commitment, and then see how you feel after the summer!
CALLING COMMITTEE MEMBERS
As the group is only just starting up again, we are in need of people interested in joining the committee. So far we have myself, Catherine Redgate, a first year art student at Grays, as President. Normally we require a Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary, at least! So if you are interested (always good for the CV!) do let me know at juggling@rguunion.co.uk or catherine@ndres.co.uk
As part of the committee you would have a say in any future equipment, fund-raising ideas, logo design and general input for the running of the club. As they say, two heads are better than one!

EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE FOR THE CLUB
Equipment has now been delivered (I’m so excited!) and so far we have the following available for use. There is the potential to form a lending system, possibly as part of the fundraising side of the club, so that members can hire equipment for the week to practice themselves and improve from home.
If anyone has any equipment they feel comfortable bringing along to the sessions, do feel free!

JUGGLING EQUIPMENT
JUGGLING BALLS:
We have 30 Thud Juggling Balls for the club to use, which means we can practice 3, 4, 5, 6…..or however many you can manage in one go. There are many tricks to work on even with just the three balls and with two or more people you can have a go at stealing etc.

JUGGLING SCARVES:
For those who haven’t mastered juggling with three, these are ideal as they give the juggler that bit of extra time to work out what is going where! :O)
JUGGLING RINGS:
Great for individual use and across two people – we have 6 different coloured rings available at the moment.
JUGGLING CLUBS:
Again, great for individual and couple use!
CONTACT JUGGLING:
Also, ball manipulation. Fantastic stuff this once you master it! You can make the balls look like their floating and just great fun! We have three practice balls available of three different sizes, and will hopefully be investing in the acrylic contact balls over the next year. I think youtube videos are the best if you haven’t heard of this before!

DIABLO:
Four available for the club to play around with. Again, numerous tricks with this equipment – just come and play!
DEVILSTICKS:
Consists of two hand sticks and one to balance and hit about with the two hand sticks! Many tricks including the helicopter and windmill.

SOCK POI:
Handmade poi, consisting of funky long stripey socks with a tennis ball at the end. Best for practising.
TAIL POI:
Slightly more advanced as the tails start to get tangled if you haven’t mastered the moves! Very effective though.
LED POI:
Glow in the dark poi. Would be quite good to get a ‘dark session’ going once the club has more LED equipment available. This is for the more advanced as this equipment tends to be more fragile so you want to have the moves mastered enough so they don’t hit off themselves, or yourself (really sore….!) This is one step down from FIRE POI, which at the moment, isn’t suitable for the location….
STAFF WORK:
Picture a light saber…. This is pretty much a long stick, but some of the techniques are quite tricky, and this has the potential for LED work and also FIRE staff….best to explain via youtube videos I think!

UNICYLE:
Although the club doesn’t have one specifically at the moment, I have my own one with me, so no fighting now!
