You dont need to be a sporting superstar to join one of our 34 sports clubs. Throughout the year you will have the opportunity to learn a new sport, meet new people, develop as an athlete and participate in sporting events. For those more competitive students, there is the chance to represent RGU across the country in various sports fixtures.
For competitive individuals, our clubs train regularly in world class facilities and play throughout the year against the other Universities within Scotland in Scottish Universities Sport (SUS) and British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues and cups. If teams are successful during their campaigns, they can then progress to the Scottish and British knockouts which can provide exciting and highly competitive games against Universities from throughout the home nations.
SUS also provides our clubs with specific weekend tournaments ranging from individual events to championship finals. If our clubs dont cater for your specific sport, get in touch and there is a chance you can still represent your University.
Vice President of Sport

My role as Sports President is to provide your student voice to the managers of RGU:SPORT and other affiliated bodies. I am here to give advice to existing clubs and assist in the development of RGU:SPORT. My aim is to aid existing clubs, helping to bring us to the forefront of university sport. In order to do this the university aims to develop and establish new sports clubs, so do not hesitate in contacting me if you would like to start a new club. For further details on any of the RGU:SPORT clubs or facilities please look at the RGU website, or contact me and I will get you the required details.
