Manifesto Aims:
Be equal, yet different
My name is Teo Benea and I am 3rd year doing a Politics and Management degree. I decided to run for elections this year because I want to work with students for students and fight for our rights. I am originally from Romania ths being one of the reasons for which I decided to run for the Vice-president position Equality and Diversity. I think it is very important for the minority groups to feel comfortable and also well represented in the university’s forums. My emphasis is on the fact that even if we are different (look different, come from different countries, have different backgrounds, opinions) we can still build strong friendships and work really well together. I take the responsibility to fight so that they minority student groups will have the same rights as the majority groups, to present the minority group’s points of view to the University committees, to encourage students in these groups to get involve as much as possible in the students’ association, to create interesting activities and organise group discussions on different issues concerning a particular group. I promise to work for you and fight with all the resources I have to represent your interests as good as I can.
