Morgan Tunney

Vice President (Societies)

Course: Adult Nursing

Year: 2nd Year

Manifesto Aims:

Progress through communication and fresh partnerships

I’m currently in my second year of an Adult Nursing (Hons) course. I have had experience with setting up of a new society and so am aware of the challenge that running one poses. I have also been a committee member as part of a larger, well-established society. I am a keen volunteer having done over 1000 hours in the last two years; through my volunteering, I have received public speaking training and am confident (and competent) to deliver speeches when required.

The main things that I would do in this role are:

- Produce a monthly newsletter (in the form of an email) as I feel that it is important that societies are aware of each other’s events

- Provide support to societies to create successful events

- Act as a bridge between societies to increase support and possibly create some imaginative relationships

- I intend to attend at least one meeting of every society during the academic year, to ensure that I am aware of all that is on offer.
