Manifesto Aims:

No games, just sports!

My name is Melissa Hutcheon I am a fourth year Communication with public Relations student, Vice President of RGU Ladies Hockey, and a member of the VP Team. I would like to be considered as Vice President of Sports for 2011/12. My interest and involvement in sport throughout my three years at RGU has encouraged me to develop my skills and prepared me for this challenge. I have created important relationships with students across a number of RGU Sports clubs and have an interest in the development and success of all clubs within the university.

If elected I intend to:

- Support campaigns to create a wider interest in sport and exercise among the entire student body

- Strive to showcase the number of sporting students within RGU performing at a highly competitive level

- Become involved with Scottish University Sports as a brand ambassador on behalf of RGU sports clubs

- Raise awareness of physical activity on a recreational and social level

- Focus on the recruitment of students into RGU Sports clubs for example fresher’s coming to the university in September

- Help to facilitate inter-club fundraising events and competitions
