Hi my name is Karnika and I’m running for the Academic council as the postgraduate representative. I’m currently studying MSc Business with strategic risk management, September 2021 cohort. I strongly believe that every student’s life at university should give them the chance to learn, develop and strive to achieve the finest educational experience possible.
I want to stand and represent you the students and give you the opportunity to voice your troubles and your worries. Students need to feel supported by the University and I aim to assure that, so that all of the students may enjoy your time here as well as make the best use of your education. I’m well aware of the diversity of the student body and the unique challenges it presents to you. For many of us this is the first time at a postgraduate course or even the first time at university in the UK, this means that you will have many different kinds of doubts and worries, I’m here to provide direct contact to the students so that you may reach me for any problems related to your course that you would encounter. Students should have their voice be heard and I’m here to help you make useful and effective academic changes in your course. I believe that my previous experience as course representative leader during my bachelors will ensure that I have the best abilities to help you in your journey. During my tenure as course rep leader I have helped my fellow students to deal with their education in a holistic manner and I wish to do the same for you.
Allow me, Karnika Rajasekharan to stand as your academic council representative and I promise that I will always continue to fight hard for your education, as well as maintain the representative system so that it may help you more efficiently.
