Candidate for the position of Vice President (Sport)

IRENE JERRY

Hello, my name is Irene Atieno Jerry, and I am running for the position of becoming Vice President (Sport) because I believe that I can fully support and be a part of developing the RGU sports fraternity. I have experience in sports leadership through holding roles such as team captain and have developed management, listening and teamwork skills that I believe makes me an ideal candidate for this position.

If elected, I aim to:

Objective 1: Advocate and promote the activities of sports clubs and encourage all students to engage with sporting activities at the union either socially or competitively through listening to their views on sports activities and creatively letting them know all the options that are available for their respective needs.

Objective 2: Ensure constant communication with sports club committee members around Union activities, training, and awards to ensure that there is fluid operation within the whole sports fraternity.

Objective 3: Work alongside the university in ensuring that there is equality, diversity, and inclusion in the sports fraternity. I think awareness, communication and inclusion will have a positive impact on not only the RGU sports family but also create a positive impact on the health and well being of the entire RGU community.

Conclusion

Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in touch with me to ask any questions about my ideas through i.jerry@rgu.ac.uk.
