Notes for Prone

  • To qualify for full blue, competitors must achieve one criteria from A, one from B and one criteria from C, with one from any other section. In total four.
  • Averages, for postal leagues, must be calculated from the best 8 scores (of 10)
  • All leagues used for averages must consist of at least 8 cards, in leagues of more than 8 cards, worst 2 cards discounted (e.g. best 13 of 15 cards in Caithness League)

From SUS Grand Prix you must compete in at least 4 SUS Grand Prix. Best four matches count-i.e. 8 cards

Fencing

Full Blue Criteria

 

  • Compete in 3 Scottish Open and get on average a:
    • L4 where the NIF is between 8-15
  • Compete in SSS individuals and get a 
    • L4 with a NIF of at least 10
    • Final with a NIF of 6-10
  • Compete in 2 British Circuit competitions and obtain:
    • L32 if NIF is above 70
    • Top 25  if NIF is above 55
    • L16 if NIF is above 30
    • L8 if NIF is above 15
  • Play a significant role in the Women’s team and win the Scottish League
  • Selected for Student 5 Nations and win in your weapon
  • Reach a L4 at BUCS Individuals (subject to draw/Standard)
  • Play a significant role in the Women’s team and come 1st/2nd  in BUCS teams.
  • Selected to compete for a Home Nation (Junior or Senior Event)

N.B. If someone is selected to compete for GBR in any weapon OR reach the top 16, male or female and have represented the university at either a BUCS or SSS event this should merit a full blues regardless if they have achieved the other criteria. 

Half Blue Criteria

 

  • Compete in 3 Scottish Open and get on average a:
    • L8 where the NIF is between 6-15
  • Compete in SSS individuals and get a L8 with a NIF of at least 10
  • Compete in 2 British Circuit competitions and obtain:
    • L64 if NIF is above 55
    • L32 if NIF is above 30
    • L16 if NIF is above 15
  • Play a significant and consistent role in the Women’s team and come second in the Scottish League
  • Selected for Student 5 Nations and come 2nd in your weapon
  • Reach a L16 at BUCS Individuals (subject to draw*/Standard**)
  • Play a significant role in the Women’s team and get a L4 at BUCS teams
  • Be ranked 40th or higher on the GBR rankings at the end of the season. (This would carry a heavy waiting towards obtaining a half blues).

RGU Sports Club will recognise ONE federation – ‘The Great Britain Powerlifting Federation’ (GBPF) and its affiliated organisations.  It should be noted that RGU Sports Clubs only recognises ‘unequipped’ or ‘classic’ powerlifting.

 

ONE from –

1. Qualify/be selected for World Championships

2. Top 5 Placing in Weight Class at British Champs

3. The achievement of Scottish Open Records or British Junior Records. 

4. Achieved a 380+ Wilks score at a formal competition

 

Olympic Weightlifting

RGU Sports Clubs recognise ONE federation – the British Weightlifting Federation (BWL) and its affiliates.
