Kaim Shop

KaimShop is our second-hand shop in which you can find clothes, household items, books, DVDs and much more. You can decide to donate items which you don't need anymore and/or take home pre-loved items.

Go Green operates solely through student volunteers. By running our shop we hope to promote a circular economy in the student body.

But what does that mean? Here is an example:

When students graduate and move away, they often decide to leave items such as kitchenware or clothing behind. Most of the time those items are in good condition and it would be a waste to just bin them.

When new students arrive in Aberdeen they often have to buy many items new. Each product that is bought new has an impact on the environment as it takes carbon, water and raw materials in the production process.

To reduce the environmental impact we promote to shop second-hand instead of buying new products with our Kaim Shop.

Kaim Shop is situated within RGU:Union in the Riverside Building. When entering the Union on Level 3, walk straight ahead. The shop is on the right-hand side. You can access the donation basket at all times.

Our opening times are announced weekly on Facebook and Instagram (@rgugogreen, @_kaimshop_), so make sure to follow us!
