Societies

Co-Preisdents: Rachael O'Donnell & Lorna Robertson

With the 57°10 society having recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, the society is looking forward to another great year of lectures and events. The society was founded on the ambition to broaden the discussion of architecture within the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture by welcoming renowned Architects, Designers, and Academics to hold informal discussions which relate to the field of architecture. Some of the previous guests inclue; Andreas Deplazes, Pezo von Ellrichshausen and the late Zaha Hadid.

The society prides itself in being completely student elected and lead. Whilst providing talks and discussion that hope to inspire future generations of architects, 57°10 also acts as a social base for the Scott Sutherland School to engage with one another. Pub quizzes, beer pong, gallery visits, sketch clubs and life drawing are all ways in which we encourage community and social interaction within the society.

New members are always welcome to 57°10, with memberships being available to buy from within the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture. If you have any enquiries or require further information please contact us by email or by visiting our Facebook and Instagram pages.
