President (Communication & Democracy)

The President (Communication and Democracy) is the primary spokesperson for the Union. They are responsible for ensuring the Union is acting in the best interests of its membership. They are the primary link between the Executive Committee and the student membership.

This is a full time paid role for one year, working as part of the Union team (39hrs / week). You must be a fully matriculated student willing to take a year out of your studies to carry out this role full time, or a student graduating in Summer 2021.

President (Education & Welfare)

The President (Education and Welfare) is primarily responsible for safeguarding the academic interests and personal welfare of students. They are responsible for ensuring that the Union is acting in a way which promotes the academic interests and welfare of students to the University.

This is a full time paid role for one year, working as part of the Union team (39hrs / week). You must be a fully matriculated student willing to take a year out of your studies to carry out this role full time, or a student graduating in Summer 2021.

President (Sport & Physical Activity)

The President (Sport and Physical Activity) is responsible for encouraging student participation in sporting and physical activity. They are responsible for overseeing and developing the sports teams and encouraging the growth and development of new teams.

This is a full time paid role for one year, working as part of the Union team (39hrs / week). You must be a fully matriculated student willing to take a year out of your studies to carry out this role full time, or a student graduating in Summer 2021.

Vice President (Community)

The Vice President (Community) is responsible for running projects and events that improve the experience of students in their wider lives around their studies, such as with the local community or on the environment.

This is a part-time voluntary role, with a commitment of around 3hrs per week. You must be a fully matriculated student during the 2021/22 academic year. If you leave university during your term in office, you will be required to vacate the role and a replacement will be sought.
