Celebrate your graduation in style at the RGU Graduation Ball!
Once again we take over the famous Aberdeen Beach Ballroom for a night of celebrations, music, dancing and a fantastic four course meal. Due to continued popularity and increased demand for tickets, we will again be holding two nights of celebrations, and you will have the opportunity to buy tickets for a Graduation Ball on either Friday 12th or Saturday 13th July.
Tickets cost £49.50 each and will be available to purchase from 9:30am on Thursday 2nd May. As always, we expect tickets to sell extremely fast, so please start making your plans and arranging any group purchases to avoid disappointment.
Included in your ticket price will be:
- Four course meal (including carvery)

TICKET SALES LAUNCH
Ticket sales will launch on Friday 3rd May at 9:30am from the Deeview Student Store and RGU:Union offices on Union Way. Due to continued demand for this event, it is important to be aware that the ticket launch is incredibly busy. Our staff will aim to serve all purchasers as quickly as possible, however please note that in previous years sales have continued through until lunchtime. We advise you to join the queue as early as possible as tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
PAYMENT METHODS
Payments can be made by cash or by credit/debit card at the Deeview Student Store. There will be two queuing systems in place on the first day of ticket sales, one for cash payments and one for card payments. Please make sure that you are in the correct queue.
GUESTS / PLUS-ONES
RGU students are permitted to bring one guest only. You must buy a ticket for your guest and supply us with their name at the point of purchase.
FULL TABLE / GROUP PURCHASES
Due to demand for tickets, tables cannot be reserved or ‘held’. Group purchases are limited to a maximum of one full table per person. We will need payments to be made for all tickets at the time of purchase, along with the names & matriculation numbers of each member of your group (and the names of any plus ones). To guarantee that you are sitting next to your friends, it is strongly advised that you buy your tickets at the same time.
BUYING MULTIPLE TICKETS
You can buy a ticket for your friend(s) if they are unable to get to Deeview Student Store, but you must provide us with their names and matriculation numbers when purchasing.
MATRICULATION NUMBERS
You must supply us with your matriculation number when purchasing your ticket. If you are purchasing multiple tickets, you must provide the matriculation numbers of each member of your group along with the names of any plus-ones.
ONLINE SALES
A very limited number of full tables will be available to purchase through the Union website, but please be aware that this allocation has sold out within minutes of being released every year. The best chance of securing tickets is to buy directly from Deeview Student Store.
TABLE CAPACITIES
Tables can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. If you are buying tickets for a smaller group size, please be aware that there may be other ticket-holders allocated to your table in order to bring the total number up to 12. A number of 4 person tables will also be available to buy. These are located on the balcony of the Beach Ballroom. Please ask our staff in the Deeview Student Store for more information regarding these tables.
MENU
We are working closely with the venue to confirm a fantastic four course menu for this event. This will be announced very soon. The main course will be a carvery, with a choice of meats available. Vegetarian alternatives will also be available.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Please make us aware of any special dietary requirements/allergies at the point of purchase.
AFTER PARTY
Your ticket will also entitle you to free entry to the Graduation Ball After Party, details will be released soon. Transport from the Beach Ballroom to the after party venue is also included in your ticket price.
NON ALCOHOLIC DRINKS
Your ticket price includes an arrival drink and half a bottle of wine per person. If you do not drink alcohol, please let us know when purchasing your tickets and we will arrange for alternative soft drink options.
