Important Information: 'Fit To Sit' Policy

The University operates a “Fit to Sit” policy. This means that "if you undertake an assessment then you are declaring yourself well enough to do so".

If you feel your ability to complete a piece of coursework, to prepare for or sit an exam is being affected by extenuating circumstances, you can submit a Deferral Request or a Coursework Extension Request, as appropriate. The forms required, and a copy of the Fit to Sit Policy, can be found here:

https://www3.rgu.ac.uk/about/schools-and-departments/administration-and-support/governance-and-academic-quality/quality-assurance-and-regulations/academic-regulations-student-forms

If you need advice on making a Deferral Request or a Coursework Extension Request, you can contact the Union’s Student Advice Co-ordinator at advice@rguunion.co.uk
