First thing to establish about this album is that it is a no-skip! From start to finish, every song is so strong in its own way, yet blends perfectly. From “A Little Love” to “Two People In Love”, I was constantly excited to hear what was coming next. I will admit I am always won over by anything with a killer guitar, and this album delivered that. Although I wouldn’t even consider myself someone who plays guitar, more so someone who just owns one, I will be trying to learn every song on this album.
The exploration of relationships and their constant growing, changing and ending is something that really speaks to me. As a girl who is entering her twenties and truly learning about how many relationships we are destined to have and the effects they have on our lives, I felt every song could be related to an experience I’ve had, and I know there is a song in here for the future. There is something about “True Believer” that feels so universal for everyone. “Do you want to be forgiven for the fucking millionth time?” is something I know we have all thought. The frustration, the anger, but the underlying heartbreak within this song, it's all part of our experience as humans, and it is perfectly portrayed.
No matter where you are in your life, I know you will find understanding in this album, the reflection on relationships and everything in life changing, ending, and never staying the same is something we all know too well, whether you are still just learning this or you’ve always known. This album is here for those moments when you are angry about it, sad about it or learning to accept it.
