Tempo is a cafe where customers are charged for their time spent there rather than for the food and it has been refurbished.

Originally opened in November 2016, Tempo Time for You is located in Aberdeen’s Bon Accord centre and offers a variety of different foods and drinks that you can help yourself to, whilst only being charged for your time spent there.

At 10p a minute, it seems like a dream to have a cuppa, some lovely treats and use the high-speed wifi whilst studying or writing that thesis you have been putting off for so long. All proceeds go to the ARCHIE Foundation which is a charity local to Aberdeen, so you can feel good about contributing to a local charity while relaxing over a cuppa.

ARCHIE Foundation is a charity dedicated to supporting sick children in the North East of Scotland and they are currently investing money to refurbish Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.

Tempo has been a hit in the city as one person said: “It's amazing - the treats and food that you can have and all you need to do is pay for your time there!”

Another mentioned: “I love that the charity is local to Aberdeen because you can see the difference it makes,”

Tempo is a good studying spot or a place to relax reading that book you never got round to or even just browsing the web.
