The Killers – Rut

The Killers are one of the biggest rock bands of this century and have sold an estimated 22 million records all over the world. They’ve performed in over 50 countries on six continents, and are well known for records such as 'Mr Brightside', 'Human', and 'Smile Like You Mean It'. The Killers recently performed live at the AECC in Aberdeen last month, their first time returning to the city since 2012.

While “Rut” still accommodates that signature Killers snazz, it contains darker undertones of mental health issues. Overall, the song has a positive message, the lyrics focusing on resilience towards these issues.

Fall Out Boy – Hold Me Tight or Don’t

Fall Out Boy is an American rock band with a highly dedicated fan base that has remained loyal throughout their 16-year music history. Their album Take This to Your Grave has been known as a common influence for pop-punk music in the 2000sWhile their origins remain emo and rock, Fall Out Boy has not been afraid to change their style to match the current trend in music.

This music video features a Day of the Dead theme, while lyrically the song is about a complicated relationship, musically the song is very upbeat. With Fall Out Boy’s new style this is definitely a song to dance to.

The Vamps – Personal (Feat. Maggie Lindermann)

The Vamps are a British pop rock band who first gained fame in late 2012, and are often compared with One DirectionThey supported McFly in early 2013 and performed at festivals around the UK as support acts for many other well-known artists. The band disagree with their being labelled as a boy band since they are not the product of a record producer and play their own instruments.

'Personal' features Maggie Lindemann, an American singer and songwriter based in Los AngelesThis cutting-edge track is a perfect collaboration between the two artists without losing the Vamps’ signature style.

Naughty Boy – One Chance to Dance (Feat. Joe Jonas)

Naughty Boy is an English DJ, record producer, songwriter, musician and rapper, whose real name is Shahid KhanNaughty Boy's 'La La La' was awarded 'Best Song' and 'Best Video' at the MOBO Awards in 2013.

Joe Jonas first rose to fame as a member of the pop rock band Jonas Brothers and is currently the lead vocalist for his new band DNCE, which made their debut with the single 'Cake by the Ocean' in 2015.

The song is about perceiving the world through dance, with vocals layered over mellow instruments and including beautifully combined sitar music. It really is catchy!
