Embedding welfarism & Strengthening Student Connection
Students often feel disconnected after Freshers’ Week, with limited reach of welfare initiatives. I aim to embed welfare in societies and classrooms by decentralizing leadership, training Class Reps and society leaders as welfare connectors, improving info flow, aligning strategies with Presidents, and implementing structured handovers and engagement calendars to ensure all students benefit and feel included.
Mental & Emotional Wellbeing advancement
Academic pressure, isolation, and cultural adjustment affect student mental health. I aim to normalise wellbeing through a structured monthly themed activities embedded in students calendar, incentives to boost participation and morale, peer support, workshops, and collaborative events. A feedback mechanism to ensures leadership listens and adapts, building a supportive culture where students feel valued and connected.
Visibility, Inclusion & Partnership
Society engagement drops after Welcome Week, leadership turnover disrupts continuity, and opportunities are limited. I aim to strengthen visibility and sustainability by implementing engagement calendars, structured handovers, recognition incentives, and partnerships with firms and organisations to provide funding, mentorship, and career-focused initiatives while ensuring leadership responds to feedback and maintains active, inclusive societies.
The biggest challenge for RGU students is gap in information sharing, leaving many disconnected from opportunities and support.I will work with Student Presidents to improve communication through the 3Rs:Reliable channels, Responsive leadership that acts on feedback, and Responsible information-sharing that is accurate, and timely. I will use leadership experience and instruments to solve problems, to ensure students feel supported and included in leadership
