Spaces for social activities, events, meetings and more.

Providing flexible students spaces on campus is one of the SU's main priorities, and in recent years we have worked with the University to deliver a number of different social, meeting, and activities spaces. Most of these are located in the SU in the Riverside Building, but we also have areas and workshops in other buildings on campus, at student accommodation, and in the local community.


Four One Two

Location: Riverside Building
This open social space is based on Level 4 of the SU in the Riverside Building. It has a pool table (free play), relaxed seating to sit with friends, music, a small stage area with PA and access to a microphone, board games, a big screen and 4 other TV screens, plus charging sockets for phones and laptops. This room is open to students all day and can be booked out by clubs, societies, groups etc from 3pm until the building closes at 6:30pm (Mon & Fri) or 8:30pm (Tue, Wed, Thu).


Games Room

Location: Riverside Building
The games room is based on Level 4 of the SU in the Riverside Building. It has 2 pool tables (free play), a foosball table (free play), 3 consoles with games, and arcade machines. This room is open to students all day and can be booked out by clubs, societies, groups etc from 3pm until the building closes at 6:30pm (Mon & Fri) or 8:30pm (Tue, Wed, Thu).


Boardroom

Location: Riverside Building
The boardroom is on Level 4 of the SU in the Riverside Building and can be booked by large student project groups or by clubs and societies for meetings. It has seating for 16 people around a table, with access to a projector.


Level 3 Activity Space

Location: Riverside Building
This flexible space on Level 3 of the SU in the Riverside Building can be used for many purposes, from hosting workshops and meetings, to performances and social activities. The area is semi-enclosed and open to students all day but can be booked out by clubs, societies, groups etc from 5pm until the building closes at 6:30pm (Mon & Fri) or 8:30pm (Tue, Wed, Thu).


Meeting Rooms

Location: Riverside Building
Smaller meeting rooms are located on Level 3 and Level 4 of the SU in the Riverside Building and can be booked by student project groups or by clubs and societies for meetings. They have seating for 10 people around a table, with access to a screen.


Meeting Pods

Location: Riverside Building
We have 6 meeting pods available to book on Level 3 of the SU in the Riverside Building. They are small group workspaces, with a capacity of 8 people, within high-backed comfy sofas. Each pod is equipped with a screen.


Kaim Shop

Location: Riverside Building
Kaim Shop is our free second-hand shop and is located on Level 4 of the SU in the Riverside Building. Managed by the our student-led RGU Go Green group, this shop aims to promote a circular economy and support students with the cost of living. You can find clothing, household items, books and much more. You can donate items which you don't need anymore and/or take home pre-loved items.


Radar Media Hub

Location: Sir Ian Wood Building
Our student media base is located in room N241 in the Sir Ian Wood Building. Used by our student-led Radar Media group, this hub contains recording equipment for podcasts, and space for small planning meetings and interviews.


BikePad

Location: Woolmanhill Student Flats
Bike Pad is our bike repair and hire workshop, located at Woolmanhill Student Flats (Flat 31). Managed by the our student-led RGU Go Green group, this project aims to provide students with cheap semester-long access to a bike, or the tools and skills to fix up your bike quickly.


Allotment

Location: Garthdee Allotments
Maintained by our student-led RGU Go Green's gardening group, the SU has dedicated space at the local Garthdee Allotments which can be used by our community of students and staff.
