Student School Officers are your voice in action.

Our team of SSO's are lead student representatives based within each school at the University. They are responsible for coordinating other Student Reps across their school and working in partnership with staff members to ensure the student voice is effectively represented. SSO’s liaise directly with school management, contribute to university-wide committees, and are part of key decision-making processes to drive change across teaching, learning, and the wider student experience.

Listening to Your Feedback

Your experience matters, and Student School Officers are here to make sure it’s heard. They gather constructive feedback, listen to your views, and raise them with the School, the University, and the SU. They don’t just collect opinions; they champion them. From meeting with Deans and Associate Deans to sitting on University committees, they make sure the student perspective is always part of the conversation.

Partnership in Action

This is where change happens. Student School Officers collaborate with staff to negotiate improvements and influence decisions based on your feedback. Their enhancement project is a major part of this work—turning student insight into practical, positive developments within your school.

The Impact of Partnership

Change deserves to be seen. Student School Officers highlight and celebrate the improvements made as a result of your feedback and their project work. By sharing these successes, they show how student voices make a real difference—and inspire others to get involved.
