Candidate for the position of Ball Lead

ELLIE MCNAUGHTAN

Hi, I’m Ellie a current 2nd year, applying for the position of ball lead. I’m friendly, out-going and confident and most definitely a team-player, I hope that by being part of the society committee that I will have the opportunity to work as part of a great team of like-minded people and also have the opportunity to meet and socialize with different people across multiple year-groups that I otherwise might not cross paths with. I’m a very reliant person and have excellent time-management skills as well as being able to balance a heavy workload and a busy schedule. I’m proactive and will complete tasks to the best of my ability using my own initiative. I’ve attended the last 2 pharmacy balls and can appreciate the amount of hard work that goes into planning such an event, I’m incredibly well organised and enjoy planning events, I believe I’d be a good fit for this role since I previously organised my S6 prom which was on a similar scale to previous pharmacy balls. I’m fun-loving and creative and think I’d be able to bring new ideas to the table to make the pharmacy ball the social event of the year, things like introducing a theme, a change in venue, changing up the entertainment, an awards presentation at the ball, I’d also look at fundraising opportunities specifically for the ball to the reduce the overall cost and make it more accessible to everyone.
