Help us keep the centre clean and tidy! With the centre being so big, we really do need help to keep it looking good for everyone to enjoy. It involves some of the following tasks which you can do as much of or as little of as you wish. • Keeping the fitness room equipment, window sills, and carpet clean • Keeping our café and stock room tidy • Keeping pool tables brushed, window sills and general declutter in our pool hall • Giving the music room a hoover and equipment a dust and declutter • Helping keep our kitchen clean, tidy and clutter free • Giving our grounds and playpark a litter pick • Wiping surfaces around the centre • Doing some hoovering and general dusting • Helping with filling the dish-washer

Working in close partnership with Bike Pad & StreetSport mechanics and Bike Hire organisers, the role of the Bike Pad management support volunteer is to ensure the smooth operation of Bike Pad – RGU’s free community bicycle workshop. Your priority will be on administrative tasks, i.e. ordering spare parts, organising training for Bike Pad mechanics, prioritising which bikes to repair, being the contact person for the workshop, organising other volunteers, scheduling and setting the agenda for regular team meetings, etc. The role will be of interest to students who are looking to develop their skills in management, communication and running a business. We welcome volunteers from all genders and backgrounds to approach us for this opportunity – Bike Pad is an inclusive space that values diversity.

We looking for volunteers to help us with visual marketing at Kaim – we work with a variety of donated items from pots, pans and other household items to DVDs, books and clothes. A number of students visit regularly to see what free stuff is on offer so we would like volunteers to work with us to regularly change the display of these items and to rotate the vast array of donated clothes we have on offer.

Help us make videos & short promotional clips and edit & produce them in a format that suits social media & websites. Express yourself, experiment and have fun while making a real difference. Develop your creative skills and gain experience in project management.

Knitting is starting to look like a lost art, and we want to tackle that. Teach people the secrets of knitting, make sure they have nice home-made scarves for the winter and have fun doing it!

The RDA session volunteer assists in the smooth and safe running of an RDA session by leading a pony, side-walking with a rider or assisting the coach during a session.Tasks and responsibilities may include any of the following:• Lead a pony with an RDA rider, being responsible for the control and safety of pony.• Side-walk beside an RDA rider to give them assistance and confidence. • Be part of the mounting team at the start or end of the ride. • Assist the coach during the ride by putting out equipment, tidying equipment away, picking up manure and being an extra pair of hands during some of the activities.
