  • Helped achieve toilets signage and clear stair nosings
  • Student Union Social Space/Bar campaign that has got the university listening
  • Actively gathered student concerns and worked in partnership with staff to yield swift appropriate results.

Why VOTE for me?

I am dedicated, committed and approachable. I have a solid understanding of how the union and university operates. I see it as a privilege to serve and I have a can-do attitude. I have been very involved in Union roles and activities in several capacities since I became an RGU student and I strongly believe my experience and success delivery guarantees that I can fully deliver Students’ needs and voice.

Below are my manifesto aims for this year:

Student Union Social Space/Bar

  • RGU students have been demanding a social space for years and it is only right that we get it. Massive progress has achieved so far and I am dedicated to seeing it achieved!

Fairer Parking for All

  • Car parking is a serious issue on campus especially during term-time and a fairer system of allocating parking spaces can be implemented.

Create Student Feeding Support

  • Without making empty promises, I am already working on delivering a food bank on campus for students needing welfare support, and I remain keen to bring this to life

More fun centric Student Union Events

  • The student union should be the fun and life of university helping students to deal with the stress of university.
  • I plan to implement this by engaging with fellow students, student groups and union staff in delivering fun events on and off-campus.

Improved Mental Health and Wellbeing of Students

  • Run more campaigns that support improving the mental health and wellbeing of students.

Improved support for Students with disability

  • By working with the inclusion center, I will help improve the support for students with all kinds of disability
  • By working with RGU estates, I will ensure that our campus is even more accessible
  • Roll out lecture capture across all schools and text to speech support for students.

Promote Equality and Inclusivity

  • Run more campaigns and support all equality champions and groups to promote equality and diversity even more

Improved support for Online Distance Learners

  • Engage with Online distance learning reps, ODL equality champion, and students to be more involved in RGU Union activities.

Value for Money in Catering Services

  • By working in partnership with the university, I will ensure that every RGU student gets good value for money on every food purchased at every catering site on campus
