UCHE SULLIVAN

What relevant experience, skills and qualities do you have that make you a strong candidate for this elected position?

I have great people management skills, very good communication skills, a team player and a champion of causes, I am friendly, with a nurturing spirit and believe am a worthy candidate for this position. I like to carry every one along, although new to RGU, as a January Intake, I have seen areas, where RGU needs to make some changes. Although The University is doing brilliantly, I just would like to make it, an even more formidable place, by my little contribution, if given the opportunity.

Priority Aim 1

ADVOCACY - I intend to engage with different stakeholders in and outside the University Community on behalf of students, with regards to overall student well being and safety.

Priority Aim 2

I will lead campaigns and Initiatives that will be tailor made , with the students in mind. This would help with Students' welfare concerns, with regards to mental health, immigration , financing, housing and job issues.

Priority Aim 3

Engage students through welfare policy forums, where they can give feedbacks on how they are faring, on a quarterly basis. This will be done through discuss, surveys and more.

What is the biggest issue currently facing RGU students, and how will you work with the rest of the Student Presidents and Vice Presidents to tackle this?

Job Opportunities and high cost of living. Possibility of working with stakeholders in the RGU E hub and potential employees, to take on most students, on part time basis, by making provision within their organizations.
