Move more, think more, speak more, VOTE MOORE

Hi, my name is Jordan Moore and I would fully appreciate your vote and backing as Vice President of Sport. I am running for this position due to a passion for promoting health and physical activity, alongside great opportunity to support student sport at RGU. I feel I can relate to the student community on multiple levels, having gone from a quiet little fresher to a Sports Club President, and have an approachable yet strong willed nature which lends itself perfectly to this role.

Experience

Active member of RGU Netball Club for 3 years, regularly representing in BUCS and Granite City Challenge.

2019/20 RGU Netball Club President which has given me opportunity to learn, develop and practice leadership skills.

Currently studying BSc (Hons) Nutrition which continually provides me with knowledge and understanding surrounding food, nutrition, health and wellbeing.

REPS Level 3 Personal Trainer, further cementing my knowledge and understanding of sport and the importance of mental health and wellbeing within it.

Why

I believe everyone should have equal opportunity to perform and develop as part of an RGU Sports Club and therefore I aim to promote and encourage inclusion for all, regardless of age, sex, background or sporting experience.

I have a strong vision to support and develop ALL RGU Sports Clubs to ensure we remain a University to be challenged in every sporting event.

Practiced ability to work as part of a team, ensuring key decisions are made in a timely manner whilst ensuring all voices are represented and heard and ensuring tasks are completed, with results translated and communicated.

My strong passion for health and wellbeing, alongside practicing towards my degree in Nutrition, allows me provide information in a clear and concise manner.

Full of unique fundraising ideas to instil a ‘giving’ mentality within students, alongside striving to ensure money is not a barrier within our sports clubs.

I have a good understanding of the social aspect of sports clubs, realising the importance and impact this can have on members. I have a determination to ensure this is promoted and achieved throughout all clubs.

PLUS I essentially live in RGU Sport whether it be at the gym, training, eating or studying so I am easily located!
