Hi everyone! I'm Rachel, a first year Midwifery student, and I'm running for the position of Undergraduate Representative!

Having just graduated from UofG where I held a position on the Students’ Representative Council, I already have very valuable council experience as well as a great knowledge and understanding of university policy and procedure, which I believe would be so incredibly helpful in this role. Last year, I sat on three University-level committees, where I delivered feedback to staff at some of the highest levels of the University. I am very confident in asking for what the student body needs, a quality which, now more than ever, is so vital to ensuring that students continue to have a strong voice and a valued input.

If elected, I will:

  • Host open forums and send out anonymous feedback forms to allow you to share any issues you feel need to be shared and/or reported.
  • Ensure that your concerns are heard, passed along to the University, and met.
  • Increase digital access to mental health support resources, therefore securing sufficient support for everyone during this trying time.

Everyone's mental and emotional health has been sorely and severely tested during this time, so it is vital that you have a representative on council who works hard to hold the University to account and make sure that the student experience is as rewarding as it possibly can be. Vote Rachel #1 for Undergraduate Representative!
