What relevant experience, skills and qualities do you have that make you a strong candidate for this elected position?
I am a postgraduate student, in the degree pursuit of a Master’s in International Business and Management. My lifelong experience has been centered around arts, creativity, entertainment, social wellbeing and cognitive imagination. I have released and sold a couple of music content on digital stores like The Apple Music, Spotify and the likes, i have also released filming and videography contents available on various social media platforms for commercial consumption.I hope to own a creative hub financially sponsored by me someday, a whole charity organization helping creative and talented individuals gain career recognition and success in music production, sports, videography, creative design, information technology, fine arts and hospitality in Nigeria, Africa and Globally.
Priority Aim 1
The first thing I will love to achieve is to make RGU Radio one of the most heard radio platform in the whole of UK. This I plan to achieve by ensuring I encourage the airing of more “MADE IN RGU” contents in the radio platform. This means the best of creative contents by RGU students will the get the most exciting radio attention they deserve, encouraging the musicians to get their music heard, the photographer who loves to use the school radio as a medium to advertise will also get a chance,a radio platform providing equal opportunity for everyone.
Priority Aim 2
BRINGING A FRIENDLY AND CLOSE STUDENT UNION WILLING TO LISTEN TO STUDENTS’ NEEDS.
To effectively improve the student union experience with the union itself and the students, I promise to bring the presence of the Union close to the students. A system that will smoothly, reliably and conveniently relay the needs of the students to the university and guarantee that effective measures will be taken to remedy and requests put into consideration.
Priority Aim 3
IMPROVING STUDENT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP
I envision Robert Gordon University as a space where students are aware that the wealth of information embedded in each of them is a powerful tool for their well being, learning, career development, resourcefulness; and being closely knitted as a group helping one another succeed individually and collectively would only mean sustained economic growth, a happy and peaceful society. I hope to work with everyone if elected to make sure student well being is of paramount care.
What is the biggest issue currently facing RGU students, and how will you work with the rest of the Student Presidents and Vice Presidents to tackle this?
The biggest issue facing RGU Students, especially the international students is the issue of scarce and unavailability of jobs to cater for their education and living needs. I am really looking forward to join a formidable relationship between myself and other candidates coming out for several positions to tackle these issues by providing a platform on RGU Radio which sells the intellect and skill set of an average RGU Student who is seeking employment opportunities in various sectors of the economy, this employment program will aim at marketing their relevant skills and experiences, exclusively aired on RGU Radio.
