Candidate for the position of Head of Communication and Engagement

ABI HAILSTONES

Hi I'm Abi, I'm one of the current first year's, I would like you to vote for me for the role of secretary within the society. I would make a great fit as I am very approachable, bubbly, well organised and a good listener. I have strong communication skills especially when it comes to conveying points to different audiences.

I have experience in this type of role which could benefit students, as I have been part of school committees for example, being part of the prom committee and I have also been a mental health ambassador throughout my high school career which involved talking to all year groups and being a safe person to confide in. I love attending society events as it's a great way to get to know people on the course better and make new friendships. Everyone deserves the fun and enjoyable side of uni, of sharing experiences and ideas. If elected I will be able to help voice ideas for future society events. I am passionate about getting new experiences and trying new things out, and helping anyone where I can! I work really well in a team as I can voice opinions while still being able to listen and take on board different opinions to mine. I'm a creative problem solver as I can find innovative solutions for problems.

Please make sure to vote for me, thank you for reading! Abi
