Campus underwent a 250k renovation to reinvent itself as Aberdeen's first and only 'world of beers bar', with a name change to boot - Steinhaus. It also boasts the introduction of Tank Beer to Aberdeen.

Radar went along to the launch night of the brand new bar. At first glance the revamp doesn't seem much different - bar a bit more wood in the decor. However, on closer inspection you can definitely see the changes. For one it would be hard to miss the two giant and imposing beer tanks attached to the the wall that house Krusovice, a beer imported from the Czech Republic. Radar got its hands on one and we would definitely have another.

Round the corner in a hidden spot is a set of two swings. Blink and you literally will miss it; It's a cute little touch nevertheless. Directly opposite is a graffiti wall, maybe taking some inspiration from Underground? That's not a bad thing though; everybody likes a bit of street art especially here I'm Aberdeen.

It was about time Campus got a change. The whole 'American style' bar got a bit tired and gimmicky but Steinhaus is a fresh and vibrant idea and it gives us a bit of escapism from our grey Aberdeen lives.
