VegBag

The fortnightly scheme brings fresh, organic and locally sourced vegetables to you on campus.

Your options:

  • Large bags (£6.00): contains five different seasonable items of fruit and veg
  • Small bag (£3.00): contains fewer of the same items

To complement your VegBag, you can even order organic, free-range eggs from the local farm at £2 for 6 eggs. What better way to get your daily dose of vitamins, fibre and taste!

The more people that sign up for the scheme the greater the choice of items available – we've already registered a record number of orders and consequently delivered around five different items in the bags.

Bags are also always going to be cheaper than the supermarket prices for organic produce.

How do I order?

After you've decided on the size you want to try, you can make cash payments at the RGU Union office on Union Way (make sure to get your order in by the fortnightly Tuesday deadline!) or you can click the below links to pay by card.

There are no available products in this catalogue.

If you want to save some time and simplify the process, you can now block-book vegbags in advance. Whether you want to book for the whole term or just for particular dates, ordering is very flexible so you can get your vegbag whenever works for you!

Like ordering, collection is made at the Union office on Tuesdays. You can bring your own shopping bag to carry the goodies or you can use one of our sturdy jute bags for £2 deposit.

What others perks?

If you want to get more involved you can come help us pack on collection days or you can join a small dedicated team of students who coordinate the scheme, ordering sourcing receipes and calculating the share of things to go in the bag.

As always, do get in touch at vegbag@rguunion.co.uk if you're interested in getting involved and helping out with the scheme!
