PADS (Policital and Debating) Society

President: Cameron Taylor
As a society, we aim to promote healthy discussion and debate among students on a range of political and current affairs. Through regular meetings and radio shows, we hope to establish a culture of political activism throughout RGU, whilst encouraging the right to free speech and different viewpoints on topical issues.
Our secondary aim is to give students a platform to develop their debating and reasoning skills in a safe and structured environment; giving everyone involved a chance to be heard and to give their opinions.
We will also promote social events which give students from various backgrounds to come together and have fun.
Cost of membership: £5
The society aims to meet at least once a week.
