We carried out a survey in 2016, and this is what you told us you wanted to see happening on campus and in the community.

Sustainability is a key priority for our students, staff and Union. Here at Go Green, our aim is simple: spread the word about environmental topics and provide the tools, opportunities, trainings and volunteering to empower you to look after our shared planet.

Whether it’s locally sourcing and distributing organic fruit & veg, the Bike Hire and Repair scheme at Bikepad or getting together to swap clothes and pass on household items, the Go Green office is always buzzing with new and bright ideas in the pipeline!

Volunteer with us

RGU Go Green is always looking for volunteers and participants for their ongoing and future projects as well as one-off activities. Whether it's helping us at Kaim Co-op with workshop demonstrations, sprucing up our swapshop with some visual merchandising, creating video content, fixing bikes in our workshop BikePad or with our partners StreetSport, or learning the finer points about administering projects, we've got an opportunity for you.

Our projects

Some of the projects we run include Bikepad, a repair workshop for..you guessed it bikes, Kaim Co-operatve, a hub for exchange of clothes and anything else you can think of and the popular organic Veg bag scheme expanding its reach this year through the implementation of a new delivery scheme. Alongside these we will also be supporting the brand new environmental soceity LivEco to continue to run a Zero Waste Community Café, Energy Ambassadors programme, and the, in demand, Bike hire rental scheme.
