Consumer regulator Ofgem has announced that the price cap on energy will increase on 1 April 2021 due to rising wholesale costs and growth in demand.
This means that a typical household on a default energy tariff could expect a bill increase of £96 per year.
This could affect around 11 million homes in England, Wales, and Scotland (Northern Ireland sets its own cap).
The cap for prepayment meter customers will increase by £87 per year, affecting around 4 million households.

Movember started in 2003 and is now a worldwide phenomena. So much so that now people automatically associate the month of November with Autumn leaves, Bonfire Nights and the growing of mustaches.
A simple idea sparked from two friends chatting in a bar to a worldwide movement, there has been over six million mustaches grown in support of Movember so far.

It is very hard to believe that it has been 20 years since, ‘The Sims’, was first released on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS. Eddie Van Halen, legendary Dutch-American rock guitarist, has passed away at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer.
Commonly known by rock fans as simply EVH, his death was announced on his son’s (Wolfgang Van Halen) Instagram account on the morning of 6 October 2020. Wolfgang said “He was the best father I could ever ask for… My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop.”

Unite has announced that First Bus drivers in Aberdeen will continue strikes in protest against the new contracts being offered by First. The current strike action ends tomorrow, with an indefinite strike beginning on Friday 6th April.

A £10 million observation centre will be built near the lighthouse in Aberdeen with a panoramic view of the city’s coast, harbour, and dolphins. In the meantime, a temporary visitor centre will be built using containers while the project gains crowd-funding, and you can get involved.
